Innovation is not only for the tech industry — it is central to the success of any business and it must be an integral part of a business strategy. Innovation has been accelerating since the invention of the steam engine, and the pace is increasing. Consider the telephone: it took 56 years for Alexander Graham Bell’s invention to reach half of US households; by comparison, smartphones took seven years to hit the same adoption rate. Excellence in leading innovation has far less to do with the leader having innovative ideas; it has everything to do with how that leader creates a culture where innovation and creativity thrives in every corner.

This course is designed to help managers develop the culture to support innovation in their own organization. In this course, you will learn how to develop insight into the culture of your organization, and how to evaluate your organizations readiness for innovation. You will also learn how to apply a range of knowledge and techniques to influence and shape the culture of your organization.
