COURSE OVERVIEW:
Designed for Senior Managers and finance professionals, this is the first of 3 courses in the Strategic Financial Management Series. This course provides an introduction to the core principles of financial strategy and the measurement and creation of shareholder value. You will gain an in depth understanding of the principles of company valuation including stock valuation, and the main methods of valuing stock. We examine the role of stock markets and the purchasing and trading of stock, and the growth and importance of global stock markets. We also examine the role of dividends and their role in value creation and depletion.
We then examine alternative approaches to measurement of value and the potential for Value Management to transform our approaches to and understanding shareholder value. On successful completion of this course, managers will have a broader understanding of how the company is valued, how the management can help create value through alternative approaches to the measurement of value, and the creation of value adding assets.
